Q. Isn't it Unhealthy to have the litter box and food right together?
A.
It's probably not the best Idea. But,
Litterboxcam is somewhat contrived. The litterboxes, food bowls and water you
see on cam are not the cats primary food, water and
"facilities" There are two other litterboxes and at least two
other feeding locations in the house. So anybody you see on cam is there because
they chose to poop and/or eat in that location.
Q. Where did you get the Names Trillian, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Zarniwoop and Hot Black Desiato?
A. The names come from the Douglas Adams series The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Trillian’s registered name, "Mostly Harmless" is the title of the fifth book in the Hitchhiker Trilogy. (Yes, we know that there are only supposed to be three books in a trilogy, but apparently Douglas Adams doesn’t)
Q. How much cat litter do you use in a month?
A. Roughly 90 lbs
Q. Is Grey a Russian Blue ?
A. . Grey isn't a Russian Blue, although she is often mistaken for one! She has yellow eyes rather than green and (although they aren't visible in her pictures) she has rings on her tail. She is 100% feral barn cat. She and Black's mother looked just like Black and we have no idea about their father(s?) although judging by the neighborhood I really doubt he was Russian Blue either.

A. Your local animal shelter has plenty who are looking for good homes. If you live in St. Louis, contact The Cat Network. If you live in Topeka, contact Cat Association of Topeka.
Q. You have 8 cats? What, are you people crazy?
A. You don’t have to be crazy to live in our house, but it helps.
Q. Do your cats come when they are called?
A. Sometimes. However the general rule of thumb is that Dogs come when you call them, Cats take a message and get back to you.
